Here's another quick walk thru with some of my very first journals.

I wanted you to see a progression of my "hand" or style. This happens when you sit down day after day in your art practice. And truthfully it doesn't take a long time to begin to see what works and what doesn't work for you. I don't really think there is a work around for "seat time". If there is one let me in on the secret lol.

And let me say this...I heard a saying that basically "discipline numbs the mind but devotion liberates it". I do look at my daily pages as my devotion, my meditation, my "me" time. I use that time to find out what I need to know about my truth in the moment.

I'm not interested in pretty... although that can be a huge bonus lol...I'm interested in authenticity.
