The Fool
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
All those who wander are not lost.
- Tolkein
"In the middle of the journey of our life, I found myself within in a dark wood where the straight road had been lost." Dante
The art of lost- are you willing to get lost. Oh the many beautiful things you could lose yourself to - love, art, poetry, creativity, nature, the way the light moves through those delicate and transparent leaves, life.
Are you sure that what you are choosing to get lost to is worthy?
Don't give yourself away to all those things you worry about.
The adventure beacons you- come, come, be curious, there is always another corner to look around. Oh dear, the sweet mystery of life.
And what you are carrying- lay it down for you can travel lightly if you wish to.
Give yourself to your path, follow your own guiding star, sure wander off and chase shiny butterflies along the journey if they give you delight but remember your star. Remember to course correct and remember to choose what you give yourself away to, what you lose yourself to. Remember to choose where to get lost and where to be found.
journaling prompts:
How comfortable am I with the unknown?
Who am I without my story?
What is my relationship to risk and adventure?
What baggage do I carry, what baggage can I lay down?
What is there before the beginning?
Can I begin without a path?
How am I ReSourced?
What are the all the infinite possibilities?
What is my relationship to trust?
