Amanda is an artist, inner-work mentor and coach who helps midlife women transform through journaling, working from the shores of Lough Derg in Ireland. Trained in psychotherapy and facilitation, she teaches art for self-expression and soul care — creativity as a container to explore and reshape your inner landscape. She also brings her RAW method to Art is Magic, teaching women to work in flow across multiple journals and stay in process rather than chase perfection.
There are two kinds of art: art for sale, made for an audience, and art for self — soul care, self-witnessing, creative truth-telling. This lesson celebrates the second. Amanda shares three reliable ways to get portraits onto your journal pages with no drawing skills at all: carbon paper transfer, deli paper transfer for dreamy layered effects, and acrylic medium transfer that lifts images straight from magazines and photocopies. Each technique is complete, repeatable, and asks nothing of technical skill — just radical permission to express what's true.
