This is a paint along with workshop where Robin will guide you through the creation of your own colour reference book exploring some colour theory:
In Part A, we will learn about how color is preceived by our brains and the difference between the color of light and the color of paint. We will start a little book that will become an invaluable reference to you for mixing and combining colors. And then we will explore a possibly new (to us) color wheel that takes color bias into account.
In Part B we will explore color combining and look at it through the lens of what we learned in Part A about color bias.
In Part C we begin to
collect color combinations that speak to us in some way. Maybe it’s something that catches our eye, creates a sense of place, is one of our current favorites, or is something we would like to explore. I’ll also share with you the books I tried for this. You can make another book of your own as well.
